To assist returning veterans, Commissioner Reyes drafted and passed a resolution calling for the Cook County Veteran’s Assistance Commission to hold Veterans Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Screening and Benefit Fairs throughout each of the 17 districts of Cook County. Commissioner Reyes also sponsored legislation to fund a specially equipped van to transport disabled veterans. As a United States Air Force Veteran, Commissioner Reyes knows the importance of reaching out to and providing assistance to our soldier heroes. They deserve our respect and gratitude!
